Mainframe experience:
IBM Global Services (Newark, NJ). Senior Programmer/Analyst. (Consultant), 08/98 -02/99.
Developed and maintained the Payments System (for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ). It generates the payment for claims each day, prints notifications for customers and providers. Batch function of the system: formatting input, processing the payment records, printing letters and reports. On-line programs provide the possibility to inquire and update information. Involved in:
· development of new On-Line Help for CICS part of the System. Created some new programs and screens;
· development of a new process Purge History File. Created some new batch programs and procs;
· analyses and elaboration of recommendations for Y2K conversion of the existing programs of the System;
· unit and system testing.

Merrill Lynch (Somerset, NJ). Programmer/Analyst. (Consultant) 08/97 08/98.
Maintained and developed the Distribution Cashiering System. The primary purpose of the system is to generate 401K Disbursements. Batch functions of the system are loading and validation of data, creating of formatted statement records, checking of data integrity, reporting. On-line functions include data maintenance, manual selection of checks for printing, manual check entry. I was involved in:
· logical database design;
· outline forms and screens from the front end of the system;
· creating some programs for loading and validation of data,
making database from the back end.
· modification batch and on-line programs and maps according to business changes;
· unit testing on-line and batch programs;
· production support.

The Prudential (Rosedale, NJ). Programmer/Analyst. Consultant 01/97 - 08/97
Maintained the Eligibility System. On-line part of the system permits the user add new employees and dependents, change or delete personal and plan information, check claim history, make a request for sending letters. Batch part of the system permits to update all information, print reports and letters. I was involved in:
· modification and maintenance CICS programs to display menus, inquiry and listing screens for getting information and updating VSAM files;
· adjustment existing batch and on-line programs, CICS maps to Y2000 problems;
· creating JCL for testing batch programs;
· unit and system testing on-line and batch programs.
· implementation miscellaneous management reports utilizing COBOL programs and QMF.

LabCorp. of America (Burlington, NC). Programmer/Analyst, Consultant. 06/96 01/97.
Developed the Client Billing System. On-line programs of the system are used to show and update all information about clients, medical tests, payment for medical services. Batch programs permits to update information, to write letters and reports. Dates are saved in VSAM files and DB2 tables.
· Designed, coded and tested on-line programs to display menus, inquiry and listing screens. Screens provide the user with full capabilities to add, update and delete data information, allowing paging, sorting.
· For batch portion of the system coded and tested programs to produce the end-period reports, year-to-date reports and also print any report that was requested on-line through CICS screen.
· Wrote JCLs and PROCs.
· Wrote query and procs using QMF.

Involved in development of the Loan System. The system validates new transactions, updates master file and generating reports. The responsibilities included:

Designed a new Client Server Application which was going to substitute an existing Mainframe system (Distribution System). Was involved in:

- creting different queries for retrieving data from tables;
- creating reports and forms using MS ACCESS and Visual Basic 5.
